The new Commonwealth Secretary General takes office

Patricia Scotland has taken over her duties as the 6th Commonwealth Secretary General. Patricia, a national of The Dominican Republic, was elected during the Commonwealth Heads of Governments Meeting held in Malta in November 2015. She takes over from Mr Kamlesh Sharma and becomes the first woman to hold the post of the Secretary General since the founding of The Commonwealth of Nations more than 50 years ago.

The Management of CATA joins the Commonwealth family in welcoming the Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC.
