Tax transparency: G20 Finance Ministers put jurisdictions on notice
Jurisdictions which committed to start the implementation of automatic exchange of financial accounts information in 2018 have been urged to ensure that the timelines are met. In a communique issued at the conclusion of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting recently held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Ministers called on countries to sign up to the multilateral Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance and at the same time reiterated the readiness of their countries to impose defensive measures against jurisdictions not meeting the international standards of tax transparency.
