New Commissioner, New Zealand Inland Revenue

Bob RussellBob RussellMr Robert (Bob) Russell has been appointed Chief Executive and Commissioner of the New Zealand Inland Revenue, effective 21 May 2007. Bob, formerly Assistant Commissioner, Atlantic Region in the Canada Revenue Agency, joined the New Zealand Inland Revenue as Deputy Commissioner, Service Delivery, in 2006.

 

 

 


New Acting Vice Chairman for CATA


Douglas RankinDouglas RankinThe Management Committee has appointed Mr Douglas Rankin as its new Acting Vice Chairman. (The position will be filled substantively by election during the General Meeting to be held in 2009.)  Mr Rankin succeeds Mr Greg Farr, who had served as Acting Vice Chairman following the retirement of Mr John McGinley. Mr Rankin is a senior member of HM Revenue & Customs' double taxation treaty negotiating team with wide experience in the field of international taxation, and has for several years served as the UK resource person at the Workshop o­n the Taxation of International Transactions hosted annually in Malaysia.
