Appreciation Note for Kirsten Williams’ Contributions to the CATA Secretariat

ree

As Kirsten concludes her secondment with the CATA Secretariat, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks for her outstanding contribution and unwavering support during her time with us at our small Secretariat.

Kirsten Williams, Senior Policy Advisor seconded from HMRC, joined the CATA Secretariat as a part-time team member in February 2025 — yet her dedication and work ethic far exceeded expectations. She quickly became an invaluable part of the Secretariat, offering strong support across a wide range of initiatives, including the development of CATA’s Strategic Plan for the next three years. Her insight, professionalism, and collaborative spirit have left a lasting impact on the direction and effectiveness of our work.

Kirsten’s contributions were not only strategic but also deeply operational. She played a vital role in coordinating with the international partner engagement, preparing policy inputs, and supporting ongoing activities across the organisation. Her flexibility and readiness to work across different time zones — even during early mornings or late evenings — demonstrated a remarkable level of commitment. Despite her personal commitments and responsibilities, she remained consistently responsive, reliable, and focused.

As Kirsten now transitions into a new role, we are confident that the professionalism and excellence she brought to CATA will continue to shine in her future endeavours. She will be greatly missed by all of us at the Secretariat.

From all of us at the CATA Secretariat – Thank you and much love, Kirsten, for your dedication, support, and lasting contribution.
