The CATA Cybersecurity Working Group held its first quarterly session on 18 June 2026, bringing together cybersecurity representatives from across the membership for a highly practical knowledge- and experience-sharing discussion.

The session benefited from the expertise of the OECD Global Forum, with Mr Alexandre Garcia, Mr Alex Jubeau and Mr Lloyd Garrochinho providing a comprehensive overview of data classification and handling, from the establishment of classification frameworks through to secure data destruction.

Mr Ashvin Luckoo and Mr Ismaila Jawara shared perspectives from the Mauritian and Gambian revenue authorities respectively, offering practical examples that complemented the OECD’s best practice.

These contributions prompted a valuable cross-administration discussion, enabling participants to exchange insights and learn directly from their peers.

This session marks a strong start to what is expected to be a productive and varied programme of activity over the next two years.

CATA would like to thank all presenters for their time and expertise, and all participants for their engagement.
