CATA held its 3rd Digital Workshop of the CATA e‑Invoicing Working Group, jointly organised with CIAT, on the theme “From Transaction to Transformation: Unlocking Strategic Insights with E‑Invoicing Analytics.” The session took place on 13 November 2025 and brought together over 190 participants from across member countries. The webinar provided focused discussions, practical insights, and forward‑looking perspectives to support tax administrations in advancing their e‑invoicing initiatives.

A special thank you to Leo Ferre for expertly chairing the session and ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all participants. We also extend our gratitude to Fransheska López and Vinicius Pimentel de Freitas for their fascinating presentations. Their deep dive into data and its analysis provided attendees with a fresh perspective on how technology and analytics can transform tax administration.

The webinar explored the critical role of data in modern tax systems and how E-Invoicing can streamline processes, improve compliance, and enhance efficiency. Key themes included:

  • Ways of analysing data to uncover trends and improve decision-making.

  • The impact of scale on implementation and performance.

  • Opportunities for pre-filled returns to simplify taxpayer obligations.

  • The importance of notifications and specific requirements for effective compliance.

These discussions highlighted how leveraging data-driven approaches can help tax administrations deliver better services and strengthen trust with taxpayers.

The level of engagement was exceptional, with participants posing lots of great questions throughout the session. From technical considerations to strategic implications, the dialogue demonstrated the collective commitment to innovation and collaboration across jurisdictions.

This event was another great way to support CATA’s mission to facilitate knowledge-sharing and capacity building among member countries and members of the NTO. By providing a platform for discussion and learning, we are helping tax administrations navigate the complexities of E-Invoicing and harness the power of data for smarter, more efficient systems.
