Congratulations to Ms Fathimath Ameeza, Commissioner General of Taxation, MIRA

The Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA) extends its warmest congratulations to Ms Fathimath Ameeza on her appointment as Commissioner General of Taxation of the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) on 16 July 2026.

Ms Ameeza brings to the role more than two decades of public sector experience and a deep understanding of tax administration in the Maldives. Having been part of MIRA since its establishment in 2010, she has played a pivotal role in the Authority's development, serving in several senior leadership positions including Director, Director General, Assistant Commissioner General of Enforcement, and most recently Deputy Commissioner General.
Throughout her distinguished career, she has led key enforcement and revenue recovery initiatives, contributed to tax policy development, strengthened institutional governance, and supported reforms aimed at enhancing compliance and taxpayer services. Her appointment reflects a strong record of leadership and an enduring commitment to the advancement of tax administration in the Maldives.
CATA wishes Ms Ameeza every success in her new role and looks forward to continuing its collaboration with MIRA in promoting excellence, innovation, and cooperation among tax administrations across the Commonwealth.
