CATA hosted the latest Northern Africa Experience Sharing Programme session on 12 February, focusing on accelerating digital transformation.

Colleagues from Rwanda and Kenya offered compelling insights into their experiences with digital transformation, including the rapid introduction of large-scale compliance administration simplification processes, the innovative introduction of digital ambassadors to improve digital reach, and the uses of AI. The presentations were very valuable in sharing both the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation.

The presentations were followed by a highly engaging Q&A session. Participants from across region were able to share experiences and fill knowledge gaps across the breadth of the digital transformation cycle, from taxpayer engagement through to data security.

One of the key strengths of the CATA network is its emphasis on peer learning, which enables administrations to share effective practices and understand the challenges they face as they navigate tax transformation processes. This session reinforced the value of that collaboration, bringing together 128 participants from across CATA regions.

CATA extends its appreciation to all presenters, moderators, and attendees for their contributions, whose collective insights continue to strengthen collaboration and advance digital transformation across the network.
