As customary, March is the last month recognised in the Republic of Seychelles as the deadline for filing and payment of the annual business and presumptive tax to the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC).
Promoting voluntary compliance, and to allow taxpayers the chance to meet their obligations promptly, from Wednesday 12 March 2025 onwards, the SRC decentralized its services across various locations on the Seychelles islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue.
Services offered at the annual outreach included businesses registration, self-assessment declarations, and one-to-one advisory engagement.
Ensuring all sectors are covered, a dedicated tax campaign was also organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment for the farming sector. The campaign allowed the farmers located in remote places the chance to meet their obligations in filing their return timely even if tax the sector exempted.
The overall outreach will end in Victoria, the heart and capital of Seychelles on Saturday 29 March whereby taxpayers will have the last opportunity to lodge and pay their taxes ahead of the deadline of 31 March without incurring penalties.
